Hello all my crafty friends. I found out recently that my husband's friend had a visit from the stork and he delivered them a new baby boy!
So naturally I had to make our friends one of those cute little mini books that my friend Kim showed me how to make.
What do you think?
This is it until next week. I have company coming tomorrow for the holiday weekend so I have to get busy cleaning. I hope you all have a wonderful and safe Memorial weekend. I'll be back next week to play along with some more challenges and to stop by and check out your wonderful projects.

Monster Birthday Card
Hello all my very talented and crafty friends. I hope you have had a great week so far.
I finally made it up to my craft room this afternoon to make a birthday card for my other nephew Tanner. His birthday is still several months away but they always seem to sneak up on me.
I'm entering this litte monster in two challenges today.
Whimisical Wednesday Challenge - Make a shape card. Well as you can see I made a monster shaped card and this is my first ever shaped card and I'm pretty darn proud of myself.
Beety Bee's Challenge - Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. For the something old I re-used the white and black cardstock from my scrap stash to create the monster. The something new is the shaped card technique that I tried for the very first time. The something borrowed was the idea to use buttons behind the google eyes to add a little more demension. This idea came from Disney Dreamer Designs. Melissa used this technique on a Bee that she put on my wonderful birthday card that she made for me. Isn't she clever? For the something blue I added two blue buttons behind the moster's google eyes.
Here's the recipe:
Mini Monsters Cart - cut 3 monster card shapes, using white and black cardstock. For the 3rd shape use DCWV Guy Stack patterned cardstock.
Stampenndous Birthday Brackets Clear Stamp Set - Stamp Happy Birthday on inside of card.
Tim Holtz Distressing Ink in Faded Jeans - Use to ink edges and detail to monster and use for B-day seniment.
Glue dots - used to attached buttons and google eyes.
Buttons from my stash
AC Moore - 7mm Google eyes
That's it for now. I'm off to AC Moore tomorrow from 10 -6pm to crop the day away with some of my friends. I'll have more projects to post soon.
Have a great Friday.

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #8
I'm finally starting to get caught up after being on vacation. I still have several blogs to go visit from the Disney Pixar Blog hop and slowly but surely I will visit you all.
Today I'm participating in the Birthday Sundaes Challenge . The challenge is to make a birthday card using 3 different embellishments and 2 patterned papers. How fun is that! I need to make a birthday card for my nephew Parker so this happened to be the perfect challenge for me. Here's what I came up with.
How to:
Camping Critters Cart - Cut deer at 4"
The darker color paper on the deer came from Bazzill Basics Paper in French Silk. For the rest of the deer I used my scraps.
The patterned paper is from DCWV The guy stack and Recollections Autumn 8 x 8 paper pack.
My Pink Stamper More Punny-licious set - Best Fishes
Stampendous Birthday Brackets set - Happy Birthday
The google eyes and waves are from my stash. I used waterfall stickles for the fish.
Glue - pop dots, tombo liquid glue, Zig glue pen and glue runner
Ink - Tim Holtz disstressing ink on tree and SU soft suede for sentiments and boarder around card.
Tim Holtz disstressing tool used on tree.
Marvy Markers used on deer, fish and grass
Martha Stewart boarder punch used for grass
I'm really pleased with how this turned out and can't wait to send it to Paker. Hope you are all enjoying your day.

Happy Mother's Day!
I am wishing all my new and old followers a very Happy Mother's Day. I hope you have a great day today.
I'm spending my day with my friend Kim along with a few other ladies. We are going over to her house for a cook-out. She made a theme party for us today and we have to wear sun dresses and sun hats. Well the only hat I own is a baseball cap from Disney. Not really appropriate with a sun dress so I'm going out to see if I can find a sun hat to go with my dress this morning.
I promise I will post something soon.
Have a wonderful relaxing day...

Welcome to the second Disney Pixar Blog Hop!
You should have arrived here from Susan's Blog. If you just happened to come across my blog and would like to start at the beginning please go to Shawn's blog by clicking here so you don't miss her project and the awesome blog candy she's giving away! You can also enter to win the Grand Prize of the Gypsy by finding the two blogs that have a Hidden Mickey (see details at the end of my post).
I am so excited to be participating in my very first blog hop! A BIG thank you goes out to Shawn and co-host Melissa for giving me the opportunity to participate in this wonderful hop. For the second time we come together to celebrate our love of all things Disney, which includes the Pixar family of characters.
My projects today showcase both Disney Classics and the Best of Pixar.
So first up is the Disney Classics. I really wanted to make the Cheshire cat from this cart so I decided to put him on a card.
I wanted to use the classic Disney colors so I made him red and black. Hope you like it.
Recipe:
Cheshire cat cut at 4" with the paper company cardstock
Patterened paper from DCWV Summer Dream Stack
Cuttlebug folder - Divine Swirls
Stamp from My Pink Stamper More Punny-licous
Ribbon from Michaels
Next up is The Best of Pixar cartridge.
For those of you who are already followers of my blog you get to see another version of my basket using the Best of Pixar theme.
I made the Basket first then I choose to decorate it with the Monsters, Inc. characters. I'm very pleased with how this turned out so I have several pictures to show you all the sides.
Recipe:
To make this a little challenging for myself I decided to flock Sulley after cutting him out at 3 ¼”.
Mike and Boo are cut at 3 ¼” too. I added some silver scales to Boo’s outfit using a Martha Stewart glitter marker since the piece of paper were just too darn small to work with.
Roz was cut out at 3 ½” then I added sparkles to her chain on her glasses and her blue hair.
The Paper Company Cardstock was used for characters and base of basket.
Patterned Cardstock used:
Nana’s Nursery – Baby Boy
DCWV – The Fun in the Sun Summer Glitter Stack
My Mind’s Eye – Deena’s Penny Lane Glitter Cardstock
Cuttle Bug Folders:
Spots and Dots
Tiny Mosaic Texture
Glitter Gel Roll Pen
Tim Holtz Distressing Ink – Broken China, Bundled Sage, and Milled Lavender.
Foam tape
Inkadinkado – black chalk ink
Recollections – My Little Monsters clear stamp set
CANDY ALERT!
Before you go, I want to thank you for coming to the blog hop by offering you a chance to win some candy.
